Though a great player on the field his off field representation is just as strong. Dunlap takes pride in his personal foundation (The Carlos Dunlap Foundation). His foundation aims to promote the importance of education, healthy eating and being a role model in the community. His work in the community led to his 2015 Walter Payton Manning Man of The Year Award nomination. An Award that is the only NFL award recognizing a player’s off-field community service and playing excellence combined. Dunlap’s work in the community, through his foundation, includes: providing underprivileged high school students with ACT and SAT prep and other college readiness tools, providing full-day spa experiences for women battling breast cancer, partnering with other organizations to take children on area sports and entertainment outings, and also to provide birthday parties for homeless children.
